If we can take anything from my pattern so far, Chappell will release an album within a week or two of me posting this. I'm going to do my part to will that into existence for us.

Anyone that found their way to this site probably doesn't need me to introduce them to these four massively popular artists, but I love them so much I can't not post about them. They are the pillars of my canopy bed of fem.

Chappell Roan

I was a little late to the party here and didn't discover Miss Girl until 2023, but I made up for it in 2024 playing her songs so much my Apple Music replay was basically just her.

Chappell pushed me over the edge of unboxing who I have had repressed my whole life and is responsible for creating space for this for a lot of people. Her concert was one of the best experiences of my life between her, her music, and the people at the show. The sheer amount of people attending the gov ball, the gas station, etc showed how many people she connected with that needed her.

I am not including every single song from her own awakening forward, because there are no exceptions in my love for Miss Roan, but you need to listen to it all. If I had to pick three, "Love Me Anyway", "Good Luck, Babe!", and "Subway" are probably it. I really should write a post just for this amazing woman, but I feel like everyone knows everything I would say about her anyway.

Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia's music really makes me feel like my childhood day dream of moving to San Francisco and somehow being a part of the Charmed sisters. Not only did she release a new album this month with more incredible songs, but she is also putting on a modern day Lilith Fair in August called Daisy Chain Fields.

I don't really know how to properly explain the vibe of Olivia but I feel it and see it in my mind and she just does what she does so very well.

Like every artist in this post, I can't include every song you should listen to, but I have covered some of my favorites. "the cure" currently has me in a chokehold.

"And it feels like medication And it's good for me I'm sure But it don't matter how your love feels anymore"

Gracie Abrams

Seeing Gracie interact with her fans is as lovely as her music. This article is not necessary to trick the universe into an album release because she already has one set to come out mid-July. Its off to an incredible start with the preview tracks "Hit The Wall" and "Look at My Life" which I looped for two hours straight while I cleaned the house the other night.

While each artist here demands your attention in their own way, Gracie is urgent, pleading, and insistent. Like she needs to convey everything to you immediately or she will explode.

"I miss you, I'm sorry" spent three weeks in the ADHD audio loop when I first heard it. My brain just thrashed me with the chorus relentlessly. "Close To You" was the next one that I obsessed over to the point where my dogs probably can sing it.

I hope to one day be able to translate the feelings elicited by people like Gracie, but for now I can only share her music.

Ariana Grande

My Ariana introduction was not from her music, but from Winx Club and Sam & Cat where I fell in love with her voice and her character. While I can't remember the first song I heard, I didn't really pay attention until the "My Everything" album in 2014 with "Break Free", "One Last Time", and "Love Me Harder" which showed she was way more than a quirky character.

I kind of trailed off with her for a bit, but then I started working with a few of my favorite people and one of them rekindled my Ariana listening in 2018 (thanks Annie!). Her effortless mastery of R&B/pop and her incredible voice is truly a gift to all of us.

I am forever holding space for "What Is This Feeling" from Wicked. I don't really like the soundtrack version so I included the movie clip on the Youtube playlist.

Right as we are screaming the words of whatever is on the next Gracie album in the car, Ariana's album "petal" will come out. If all this great music keeps getting released this year I may pass away.

We Did It Girl!

Even if you are already familiar with everyone here, you will at least get a good playlist out of it. I am forever grateful for these women for the incredible amount of amazing music they have created, their energy, and influence. I can't wait to hear what is on those next two (plus one!) albums. 💜
