girlyPopp is an independent, mildly misandrist publication by Justin Danger. The goal is to highlight bands and artists fronted by women or, at the very least, with a woman vocalist. There is a heavy LGBTQIA+ bias, but straight people are always welcome as long as they are cool.
As the site gains support and followers, starting our very own artist's fund that will get donated to an upcoming artist will also be one of the main goals.
Another paywalled site?
Nope! You will get access to everything for free. You just have to sign up because I want to limit the amount of my writing that gets scraped by AI. The paid tiers will only be to access posts sooner than everyone else and to choose a donation amount for the artist's fund once I set those up.

The web was almost the best thing to happen to humanity, then it got ruined on purpose by billionaires and tech bros. Searches now just turn up AI generated BS and actual human content is buried or lost to expired hosting services.
This site will always be 100% human made content and, to the very best of my abilities, will only feature human made music. Please let me know if you found something I was tricked by.
About the music but not about me
I will deviate from the standard practice of music blogs from ancient times and not attempt to mansplain what the artist meant by their song or their lyrics or try to make some pretentious observations just to make it seem like I'm getting more out of a song than you are. I'll talk about what I like about it, what my favorite lyrics and parts of the song are and maybe mention something about the artist or how I found them and that's it.
