First a new Peach PRC album, then I discover Naomi Scott's debut album, and then the goddess of midnight TikTok discoveries blessed me with Astrid Pierce and her new album and single.
What do these have in common besides timing? I can listen to each album without skipping any songs. That doesn't often happen with me, nevermind three times in one month.
7 Songs from Peach PRC, Naomi Scott, and Astrid Pierce

Peach PRC
This lovely woman has been on my weekly rotation since "God is a Freak" and I've been happy to see her grow into herself and her music over the years.
Her current album, Porcelain, is such a perfect evolution of her music that also reflects her transition into a forest fairy.
The chorus for "Hold It For Her" that says "I keep wasting time, grieving something that hasn't yet come to end" expresses what a lot of us experience all too frequently, especially with our pets.
Oasis and Eucalyptus make me feel so many things at once its overwhelming (in a good way). Hopeful, melancholy, nostalgic, tender, triumphant and defiant all at once.
My other favs from this album are "Celebrity Crush" and "Shirley Barber". I think at least 20% of my childhood trauma was healed by listening to Shirley Barber and its not even anything that happened in my childhood.
On that note, the previous album's favorites for me are "Loved You Before" and "Dear Inner Child". I did want to wear pink and I'm wearing it for them now.

Naomi Scott
A new discovery for me started with "Hellbent" and whisked me into the dreamy world of a '90s inspired, but very much current, album "F.I.G.". I have fallen asleep to this album three nights in a row and listened to it on my commute multiple times since I found it last week.
My favorite things from the album are "Hellbent" and the line from "Bliss" "What hurts the most is we almost had it for a minute".
Hellbent is only 2:15 long, but that's all the time it needs to convey the full sentiment of the song and leaves you hovering over the rewind button as soon as it closes on "You were gonna love somebody else".

Astrid Pierce
I was presented with "Paperclip" by my benevolent TikTok algorithm last night and immediately added it to my 2026 playlist. Today I listened to the whole song, along with her newly released album "Perfect Storm!", and I didn't skip a single song my whole way home.
I heard a lot of hints from various influences, but they were all perfectly combined into something very much her own.
I usually listen to songs for a few weeks before finalizing my decision to make them a permanent part of my rotation, but I only needed today to make that decision in this case.
Since I have only listened through once, I can't give you any favorites yet but I really like the chorus (lyrically and musically) of "Papercut" and the tropical La Roux bounciness of the chorus for Guilty Pleasure.
We Did It Girl!
If we ignore literally everything going on in the world and just focus on music, 2026 is off to a great start! I have 107 new songs on my 2026 playlist so far, so stick around girlyPopps! 💜
